چکیده

In contrast to the usual inclusion of disulfide bonds within a polymer structure to facilitate bio-degradation, we have designed a self-curing "one pot" hyperbranched polymer capable of forming crosslinked gels under reducing conditions abundant in tumoural tissue.

Detection of circulating crosslinked fibrin derivatives by a heat extraction-SDS gradient gel electrophoretic technique.

A technique has been developed to identify and quantitate unique plasmic degradation products of crosslinked fibrin in plasma. In this method, fibrin derivatives are extracted by heat precipitation and dissolved with disulfide bond reduction, after which the crosslinked gamma-gamma chain remnants are identified by SDS-polyacrylamide gradient gel electrophoresis and quantitated by densitometric ...

Study of different methods to induce crosslinking of polyacrylamide for agriculture process

The present study describes two different methods for the preparation of superabsorbent polyacrylamide (PAAm) hydrogels for application in farming of sandy soil. The two methods were employed to induce the crosslinking of the polymer matrix. In the first method a PAAm paste was exposed to gamma rays, while in the second method the polymer was thermally treated in the solid phase. Crosslinked PA...

Synthesis of Zinc Dimethyldithiocarbamate by Reductive Disulfide Bond Cleavage of Tetramethylthiuram Disulfide in Presence of Zn2+

The zinc(II) complex [Zn2(dmdtc)2(μ-dmdtc)2] has been synthesized directly from thiram ligand, containing a disulfide bond {dmdtc = N,N-dimethyldithiocarbamate; thiram = N,N-tetramethylthiuram disulfide}, and characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic methods. Surprisingly thiram, undergoes a reductive disulfide bond scission upon reaction with Zn2+ in methanolic media to give the [Z...

Anti-DD ELISA System Role of Soluble Crosslinked Fibrin Polymers

After addition of a low concentration of thrombin to normal plasma, a progressive and significant increase in crosslinked fibrin polymers was found by sodium dodecyl sulfate agarose gel electrophoresis, reaching 27% of total fibrinogen and fibrin before gel formation. As measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay with a monoclonal antibody specific for an epitope near the yy crosslink site, ...

Plasma Crosslinked Fibrin Polymers: Quantitation Based on Tissue Plasminogen Activator Conversion to D-Dimer and Measurement in Normals and Patients With Acute Thrombotic Disorders

Plasma crosslinked fibrin polymers (XLFP) are formed as a result of in vivo hemostatic activation and are elevated in thrombotic disease. We have investigated the plasmic degradation of plasma XLFP in vitro to provide information regarding the pattern of crosslinking and the composition of degradation products. Plasma XLFP were identified by sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-agarose electrophoresis ...
